NRK P1 Stor-Oslo

NRK P1 Stor-Oslo is the regional version of NRK P1 for the greater Oslo area in Norway. NRK P1 is the flagship general-interest channel of the Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation (NRK), the national public broadcaster, and it offers a broad mix of news, current affairs, talk, culture and popular music.

The channel is presented in Norwegian and is free of advertising. The national P1 schedule is complemented by regional programming and local news for the Oslo region, so listeners hear both national content and items relevant to their area. NRK is funded through public means and operates under a public service remit, which shapes the range of programmes on offer.

Expect news bulletins, discussion and magazine programmes, entertainment and music chosen for a wide audience, with a mainly spoken-word emphasis and music woven in between. P1 is generally aimed at listeners of all ages and is among the most listened-to radio channels in Norway. The stream is an MP3 feed at 192 kbps in stereo, delivered over HTTPS from NRK's content delivery network, and NRK's audio site at lyd.nrk.no is the official homepage.
