Privacy
The short version: we keep very little, we don't track you, and we never sell data.
Last updated 3 October 2026
What we keep
Listening needs no account and creates no profile. If you sign in we keep your email address, your favourites, what you played recently, and the stations and artwork you add. We also count plays per station, without linking them to you unless you're signed in.
Cookies and browser storage
One essential cookie keeps you signed in for up to 180 days. Your browser also remembers your last station, volume and email address on your own device. We use no advertising, analytics or tracking cookies.
Technical data
Your IP address is used briefly to limit abuse, such as too many sign-in attempts, and appears in our server and security logs. We don't use it to build profiles.
Who else handles data
- Cloudflare delivers the site and protects it, so your requests pass through it.
- Resend sends the sign-in emails.
- Reoon checks that a new email address is real, once, when an account is created.
- Google Fonts supplies our typeface, so your browser contacts Google when a page loads.
- Radio stations serve the audio. Streams over https connect from your browser, so the station sees your IP address. Plain-http streams pass through our server, so the station only sees us.
We don't sell or share your data with anyone else.
Who can see your stations
Your favourites and the stations you add are private to you. The person who runs RadioKite can see accounts and stations when needed to run the service and keep it safe.
How long we keep it
Sign-in codes expire after 10 minutes. Sessions end when you sign out or after 180 days. Everything else stays until you ask us to delete it.
Your rights
You can delete your account yourself under Library, Account. That removes your email, favourites, history, stations and uploaded artwork straight away. To see or correct your data, or if you need help, email hello@radiokite.com. If you're in the EU or UK you also have the rights set out in the GDPR, including complaining to your data protection authority.
