BBC News

BBC News is the BBC's rolling news channel, here in a high-definition stream, with live UK and world news. The programme is made up of continuous news bulletins, reports from correspondents, interviews, business and sport updates and weather, presented by well-known BBC journalists. The coverage extends from British politics to events in every part of the world, and during major stories, such as elections or emergencies, the channel can stay with an event for hours.

This entry is the stream of the television channel, so it carries both picture and sound, but on RadioKite the audio is what you hear, which makes it a convenient way to follow the news while working, driving or travelling. The BBC is a public broadcaster funded mainly by the licence fee in the United Kingdom, and its news output is guided by editorial guidelines on impartiality. The language is English, with clear presentation that suits learners. The feed does not declare a fixed codec or bitrate, and the quality depends on the source and on your connection. It may use more data than an audio-only stream because of the video component, depending on the player. You can add it to your favourites for quick access to rolling news.
