AM talk radio has a strong tradition in the United States, and WBAL is among the most listened-to stations in the Baltimore area, with a reputation for local news coverage. The online stream allows former residents and sports fans to follow local news and games from anywhere. The language is English, with American accents. As a commercial service, it carries advertising and sponsor messages. Some programmes, especially sport, may be restricted outside the United States because of rights. This stream is delivered as AAC+ at only 24 kbps, a very low bitrate that keeps data use minimal and is adequate for speech, although the sound is thin and not suited to music. It plays in your browser on RadioKite, and you can add it to your favourites.
