RMC

RMC is a French news-talk and sports radio station. Its schedule is built around live reports, debates and phone-in programmes, with a particular strength in football and other sport coverage, where commentators, former players and listeners discuss matches and transfers at length. Outside the sport segments, the day is organised around morning news, current affairs, consumer topics and popular talk formats, with a lively conversational style that has made RMC one of the recognisable names in French speech radio.

The station's roots go back to Radio Monte-Carlo, and today it is associated with the BFM group, which also runs the BFM television and radio news brands. The stream on RadioKite carries the national programming in French, so it is a useful way to practise the language with natural, fast-paced conversation, or to follow French sport from abroad. There is little music, and the pace is quick, so it suits listeners who like to stay informed while driving, working or doing chores. The stream is delivered as MP3 at 128 kbps, which gives clear speech while keeping data use modest on mobile. Add it to your favourites to find it again with one tap.
