P6 Rock

P6 Rock is a Norwegian national commercial radio channel that focuses on classic rock. It plays guitar-driven rock from past decades, mixing well-known anthems with album tracks, and is aimed at listeners who grew up with rock music and still want to hear it on the radio.

The station is part of the P4 group, one of the two major commercial radio operators in Norway, which also runs the main P4 channel as well as P5 Hits, P8 Pop, P10 Country and others. Its presenters speak Norwegian, while the music is mostly in English, as is usual for the rock genre. The channel is distributed on DAB+ and online, and more information can be found at p6.no.

Expect a steady stream of classic rock with short presenter breaks, rather than heavy talk. This stream delivers the channel as a 128 kbps stereo MP3 feed at 44.1 kHz, suitable for listening on phones, computers and smart speakers. The exact playlist and the list of presenters are not detailed here and may change over time, so the official website is the best place to check the current line-up.
