About Radio Rock
Radio Rock is a national commercial radio station in Norway devoted to rock music. It plays a wide range of rock, from classic and hard rock to heavy metal, aimed at listeners who want guitar-heavy music with a Norwegian-language presentation.
The station is run by Bauer Media, which also operates other national Norwegian channels such as Radio Norge and Kiss. Radio Rock moved off FM in 2016 and has since been distributed via DAB+ and the internet. Bauer has also offered an ad-free premium version of the channel as a paid subscription. More information is available through the Radioplay website.
Expect a steady rotation of rock and metal with presenters speaking Norwegian between tracks. This stream carries the free, ad-funded channel as a 128 kbps stereo MP3 feed sampled at 48 kHz, suitable for phones, computers and smart speakers. Detailed schedules, show names and presenter line-ups are not described here and may change over time, so check the official pages for current programming.
