TheRadio.CC

TheRadio.CC is a German-language internet radio station presenting itself as "Euer Creative Commons Radio". It plays music released under Creative Commons licences, mostly indie, rock and pop, alongside spoken programmes.

The website lists shows on Linux and technology (LinuxLounge), film (Kinotopia), games (Der Spieleabend) and music programmes such as Mixtapes and Nichts als Musik. Its stream metadata describes the genre as Creative Commons. The site does not name an owner on the page we could read; ownership and legal details are given in its Impressum. Podcast episodes of the shows can also be downloaded from the website.

This listing is the Opus stream of the station over HTTPS. It uses the Opus codec in an Ogg container, stereo at 48 kHz, which gives good quality at low bandwidth. The same station is also offered in other formats (Opus, Ogg and MP3), so you can choose the one your player handles best. Expect a mix of freely licensed music and German-speaking talk about technology, film and games, which suits listeners who like open culture and non-commercial radio.
