ON Radio Indie

ON Radio's Indie channel plays indie, alternative and electro. It is one of a family of genre streams from the German web radio network, so listeners can select a style and stay inside it. The playlist brings together guitar-based indie rock, alternative favourites, electronic-tinged pop and the independent sounds that have grown up around festivals and student radio, with a mix of well-known bands and newer acts. The mood is youthful, creative and varied, with enough diversity to make it an ideal companion for studying, working and travelling.

ON Radio is an internet-only operator, so its channels can be heard anywhere and run around the clock with very little talk. The occasional announcements are in German, but the music is international and mostly in English. A dedicated indie stream saves the effort of building playlists and offers the pleasure of surprise, since new names appear between the favourites. The stream is delivered as MP3 at 128 kbps, which gives a balanced sound on both desktop and mobile devices while keeping data use moderate. It plays in your browser on RadioKite without installation, and you can add it to your favourites to come back to it easily.
