24 Horas RTVE
About 24 Horas RTVE
24 Horas is the rolling news channel of Televisión Española (TVE), the television arm of Spain's public broadcaster RTVE. This entry carries its live video feed, so it is a television news service rather than a music station, and the stream includes both audio and picture.
The channel opened on 15 September 1997 and is produced by TVE's news services from the Torrespaña facilities in Madrid. Since CNN+ closed at the end of 2010 it has been the only nationwide rolling news service in Spain. As a public service channel it is funded and overseen under RTVE's public mandate.
Listeners and viewers can expect continuous Spanish-language news, live coverage of breaking events, politics, economy, international affairs, interviews and debate programmes. The stream is delivered over HTTPS as HLS with H.264 video and AAC audio at about 3 Mbps, so it needs a reasonably stable connection. It is a good choice for following Spanish current affairs in real time.
