MS NOW

MS NOW, formerly known as MSNBC, is a US cable news network, and this entry carries the audio of its television programming. The schedule is made up of live news coverage, political analysis, interviews, panel discussions and opinion programmes presented by well-known hosts, with a particular emphasis on American politics and public affairs. The network is generally regarded as having a liberal or progressive editorial slant in its opinion programming, so listeners who want a broad picture may wish to combine it with other sources.

The audio feed is useful for people who want to follow the news while working, driving or travelling, or who have limited bandwidth and prefer sound to video. The programmes are designed for television and sometimes refer to pictures and graphics on screen, which can be less easy to follow without video, but spoken analysis and interviews work well. The language is English, with American accents. As a commercial network, the feed may carry advertising and promotional messages. Some content may be restricted outside the United States because of rights.

The stream is delivered as MP3 at 96 kbps, which keeps speech clear and uses a moderate amount of data. It plays in your browser on RadioKite without installation, and you can add it to your favourites.
