NRK Nyheter

NRK Nyheter is the all-news radio channel of NRK, the Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation, Norway's public broadcaster. It carries news and current affairs around the clock, with bulletins, reports and discussion programmes in Norwegian.

The channel launched on 14 April 1997 under the name NRK Alltid Nyheter, partly to encourage listeners to switch to digital radio, and it was renamed NRK Nyheter in 2021. It is distributed on DAB+ nationally and online through NRK Radio. As a public service channel it is funded under NRK's public mandate rather than by advertising, and its editorial line is that of NRK's newsroom.

This stream is the high quality version, delivered over HTTPS as MP3 at 192 kbps in stereo. The live page on NRK Radio still uses the older alltid_nyheter address. Listeners should expect speech rather than music, with programming aimed at a general Norwegian-speaking audience who want continuous news coverage from home and abroad. Because the content is live and changes through the day, the exact programme schedule is best checked on NRK Radio.
