Rock Antenne Heavy Metal

Rock Antenne Heavy Metal is a themed web stream of Rock Antenne, the Bavarian rock radio brand based in the Munich area. It plays heavy metal around the clock, built around the classic and modern guitar-driven sound that fans of the genre expect.

Rock Antenne describes itself as the first real rock radio in Germany and distributes its main programme via FM, DAB+, cable, satellite and the internet. Alongside the main station it runs around twenty additional web streams, each devoted to a particular style of rock, and Heavy Metal is one of them. The station identification is in German, while the music is mostly sung in English.

Listeners can expect a steady flow of metal without the talk-heavy format of a typical morning show, which makes it suitable as background for work or for dedicated fans of the genre. The stream is delivered as 128 kbps MP3 over HTTPS and should work in any modern browser or player. Detailed information about the exact playlist and schedule is not published on the stream itself, so the selection of artists may change over time.
