Megarock Radio

Megarock Radio has been the all-request rock radio station since 1998, a listener-driven classic and modern rock station streaming in HD. The programme is built around requests from the audience, so the playlist reflects what fans actually want to hear, from hard rock and heavy metal staples to classic rock anthems and newer guitar-based releases. The result is a lively and varied selection that moves from stadium rock to heavier material, with many of the songs that listeners associate with their favourite bands.

Online since the early days of internet radio, Megarock has built a loyal community of rock fans who send requests and share their tastes, which gives the station the feel of a clubhouse more than that of a corporate network. It is suitable for work, driving, workouts and any activity where energy and volume are welcome. Announcements are in English and brief. This listing is the high-quality MP3 stream at 320 kbps, the highest bitrate the format supports and an excellent choice for good headphones or a home audio system, where the detail of guitars and drums can be appreciated. It needs more bandwidth than typical streams. It plays in your browser on RadioKite, and you can add it to your favourites.
