La Grosse Radio Métal

La Grosse Radio Métal is the metal channel of La Grosse Radio, a French network of independent thematic webradios. The stream is labelled Hard Heavy and broadcasts from Paris, playing heavy metal, hard rock and related heavier styles around the clock.

La Grosse Radio is run by a French non-profit association that publishes a group of independent webradios and webzines. It presents itself as a free, activist project that supports independent and self-produced artists, so listeners can expect a mix of established names and lesser-known bands rather than a purely commercial playlist. The network also operates other channels, for example rock and reggae.

The station's presentation is in French, while much of the music is in English and other languages. The stream is delivered as 192 kbps MP3 over HTTPS, a higher quality than many web radios, and it plays in any modern browser or player. Details about individual shows and schedules are not published on the stream, so the official website is the best place to look for programme information.
