Vinylestimes

Vinylestimes is a French web radio that celebrates the sound of vinyl records. The programme is made up of music from the great decades of the format, with rock, pop, soul, funk and other styles that were pressed on vinyl in the 1960s, 1970s and 1980s, chosen with the affection of collectors who love the warmth of the original recordings. The mood is nostalgic and passionate, and the selection includes both famous songs and deeper cuts that radio rarely plays.

As an independent internet station, Vinylestimes is not tied to a local frequency and can be heard anywhere in the world, which suits French speakers abroad as well as fans of classic records. The programme is mostly music, with brief announcements in French, and it reflects the personal taste of its operators rather than a corporate format. The listing does not publish a detailed profile of the schedule, so the selection may vary. As an independent service, it may carry short promotional messages. The stream is delivered as MP3 at 192 kbps, a generous bitrate that gives the warmth of vintage recordings a full and natural sound, especially on good headphones or speakers. It plays in your browser on RadioKite, and you can add it to your favourites.
