Wacken Radio

Wacken Radio is the web radio channel connected to the Wacken Open Air heavy metal festival, produced by the German network rautemusik (rm.fm) in Cologne. According to its listings, it plays metal and heavy metal around the clock without interruption, and the stream's own metadata labels it Metal in the Rock and Metal category.

The channel is part of the rautemusik network, which has broadcast themed internet radio channels from Germany since 2003. The site and presentation are in German, while much of the music in this genre is sung in English. Listeners can expect a mix of heavy metal and related hard rock styles, aimed at fans of the Wacken community and anyone who wants a continuous metal stream.

The programme has no published schedule on the pages that could be checked, and the music runs with very little talk. This entry is the 192 kbps MP3 stream in stereo at 44.1 kHz, served over HTTPS. Note that the stream URL points to the same underlying metal feed that rautemusik also lists as its Metal channel.
