12punks.fm

12punks.fm is a rock-focused web radio channel from the rautemusik network. It plays punk rock, alternative and hardcore alongside harder rock and metal, and the stream's metadata lists its genre as Rock & Metal. It is aimed at listeners who want loud guitars, fast tempos and a rebellious attitude around the clock.

The channel is run by rautemusik (rm.fm), a German internet radio network that began broadcasting in April 2003 and now offers dozens of themed channels by genre, mood and occasion. The network is based in Germany and its website and presentation are in German, while much of the punk and rock catalogue is international and English-language. 12punks.fm keeps its own brand within the network, and its official page is rm.fm/12punks.

Expect a continuous mix of punk, new rock, classic rock and heavier tracks, with little talk between songs, so it works equally well as background music or for active listening. The stream is delivered as 192 kbit/s MP3 over HTTPS, which plays in browsers, smartphone apps and common internet radio devices. Our automated check confirmed that the stream is live, decodes correctly and is not silent. Listeners who want even heavier sounds can look at the network's other rock and metal channels.
