92.3 WXRK Charlottesville

92.3 WXRK, branded RockHits 92.3, is a rock radio station in Charlottesville, Virginia. It plays a broad rock mix that includes alternative, punk, heavy metal and a large helping of 1990s hits, with local musicians featured in its Live and Local segments.

The station's website refers to the stations of the Virginia Radio Coop, which suggests it is part of that group, although the page does not state its ownership outright. Its studios and offices are on Hillsdale Drive in Charlottesville. Programming noted on the site includes the weekday morning show Jump Start with Eric Law, Nineties at Nine, the Sunday-night Heavy Metal DOUBLE-TAP, the punk show Search and Destroy and a movie review segment. Everything is presented in English.

The online stream is a low-bitrate AAC+ feed at 48 kbps, suitable for mobile and limited connections. Expect guitar-driven music with a local, community feel rather than a tightly formatted national playlist.
