Planet Rock

Planet Rock is a British rock station, with the slogan where rock lives, owned by Bauer. The programme is made up of classic rock, hard rock, metal and alternative favourites, presented by well-known DJs and rock journalists who talk about bands, albums and gigs with real knowledge. The sound is loud, nostalgic and committed to the genre.

The United Kingdom has one of the most developed radio markets in the world, with the BBC, large commercial groups and a growing number of online-only stations, and British radio is heard by listeners far beyond the country through the internet. The station started as a digital service and has grown into one of the most popular specialist stations in the country. It carries advertising like other commercial services. The stream is delivered as AAC+ at 47 kbps, a very low bitrate that keeps data use minimal and is adequate for speech, although the sound is thin and not suited to music. It plays in your browser on RadioKite without installation, and you can add it to your favourites.
