1A NDW (Neue Deutsche Welle)

1A NDW is a specialty channel of 1A Radio dedicated to Neue Deutsche Welle, the German-language new wave and pop movement that flourished in the early 1980s. It plays music of that era alongside related 80s pop and alternative tracks, all presented in German-speaking style.

1A Radio is operated by entire media from Hof, Germany, and offers around two dozen themed online channels covering decades, genres and styles, from 60s hits to rock, schlager, jazz and chillout. The NDW channel is one of these, aimed at listeners who enjoy German-language 80s music and want a continuous stream devoted to it rather than a general oldies mix.

Expect a continuous, music-focused programme; no schedule is published for this channel. The stream is an MP3 feed at 128 kbps in stereo, and the stream metadata lists the genres as 80s, oldies, pop and alternative, which matches the character of the channel very well.
