Diva Radio Funk & Disco

Diva Radio Funk & Disco, billed as Music Paradise, plays boogie, disco, soul, funk and R&B, a dance-floor stream for fans of 70s and 80s grooves. The programme is full of glittering strings, slap bass, horn stabs, falsetto vocals and four-on-the-floor rhythms, from the Philadelphia and New York disco sounds to boogie, post-disco funk and soulful R&B, with a few hip hop-flavoured grooves that grew out of the same breakbeats. The mood is joyful, warm and made for dancing.

Diva Radio is a British internet station that is organised around several channels with different musical styles, so listeners can choose a particular flavour of dance music and stay with it. The Funk & Disco channel is aimed at people who prefer the classics to the modern club sound, and it is a good soundtrack for parties, cooking, cleaning and long drives. Announcements are brief and in English, and the music is largely American and British. As a commercial service, it may carry short promotional messages. The stream is delivered as MP3 at 192 kbps, a generous bitrate that gives basslines, horns and percussion a clear and full sound, especially on good headphones or speakers. It plays in your browser on RadioKite without installation, and you can add it to your favourites.
