Joe 80s & 90s

Joe 80s & 90s is a Belgian web radio channel that plays the biggest hits of the 1980s and 1990s. It is a spin-off of Joe, the Flemish commercial radio station, and focuses on well-known pop songs, dance tracks and chart hits from those two decades.

Joe belongs to the Belgian media group DPG Media, which also runs Qmusic. The channel is aimed at Dutch-speaking listeners in Flanders who grew up with this music, while the songs themselves are mostly in English. Details of its playlist and presenters are not published on the pages consulted for this review, so none are listed here.

Expect a continuous stream of familiar pop and dance favourites, the kind of songs that were all over the radio and the charts in those decades, suited to listening at work, at home or in the car. The stream is delivered as MP3 at 128 kbps, stereo, from the Joe streaming servers, and it plays in virtually any browser, phone app or internet radio device without special software.
