Metal Only

Metal Only is a German internet radio station dedicated to heavy music. Its stream tagline promises 24 hours a day of black, death and heavy metal, rock and more, and the website also lists thrash and speed metal and hard rock among its styles, with specialist programmes such as the MetalHead show playing mixed metal.

The station is run by Metal Only e.V., a registered association, according to the notice on its website. The site and presentation are in German, and the audience is mainly German-speaking metal fans, although the music itself is the international metal catalogue. The website does not publish a location for the station.

Listeners can expect continuous guitar-driven music rather than general-interest radio, with extreme and classic metal sitting side by side. The stream is a 192 kbps stereo MP3 feed, a relatively high bitrate for web radio, and works in any standard browser or player. This entry is one of two stream addresses used by the station.
