Radio Zabava

Radio Zabava is a Slovak internet radio station focused on zábavné ľudovky, the entertaining folk music that blends traditional Slovak folk songs with pop-folk and party-friendly tunes. It is aimed at listeners who want cheerful, danceable music, and it also gives space to new songs and emerging Slovak artists.

The station broadcasts from Slovakia and speaks and sings in Slovak. It is hosted on the Zeno.fm platform, and details about the operator are not published on its listing page. According to that listing, the idea is to keep the tradition of Slovak folk entertainment alive and to appeal to all ages and tastes.

Expect an upbeat, energetic mix that suits dancing, singing along or simply lifting the mood at home or at work. The programme is lively rather than talk-heavy. Because it is an online-only service, it can be heard anywhere with an internet connection, on a phone, computer or smart speaker, which suits Slovaks living abroad who miss the sound of home. The stream is delivered as a 128 kbps MP3 over HTTPS and plays around the clock.
