Rádio Vlna Gold

Rádio Vlna Gold is the golden-hits channel of Rádio Vlna, a Slovak radio brand whose tagline is "Hity overené časom" (hits proven by time). The channel plays classic songs that never grow old, around the clock and without interruption, and the stream identifies itself as Vlna Golden Hits.

Rádio Vlna describes itself as part of Radio Group and presents the best music of the 1970s, 1980s and 1990s. The station is in Slovakia and broadcasts in Slovak, though the songs themselves come from a wide range of artists and countries. The exact decade split of this particular channel is not published on the website.

Listeners can expect familiar oldies and evergreen pop and rock hits with little talk, which makes it well suited to background listening. Because the format is built around songs rather than chat, it works equally well on a phone, a computer or a smart speaker, wherever a listener wants a steady stream of well-known melodies from past decades without surprises. The stream is a 128 kbps MP3 delivered over HTTPS. The official site is radiovlna.sk.
