Rádio Regina Východ is the eastern regional edition of Rádio Regina, a channel of the Slovak public broadcaster, listed as SRo2. The programme combines national content with regional news, weather, traffic, community information, culture and folk traditions for eastern Slovakia, with the cities of Košice and Prešov at its centre, and a mix of music that includes folk, popular songs and easy-listening favourites for an adult audience. The presentation is in Slovak, with a warm and local tone.

Slovenský rozhlas, the Slovak Radio, is the public broadcaster of Slovakia and operates a number of channels with different profiles. Regina is its regional network, with separate editions for the east, centre and west of the country, which allows each area to hear its own stories. The eastern edition is especially valuable for listeners in a region with a distinct identity and a mixture of ethnic communities. As a public service, it carries limited advertising. The online stream is useful for people who have moved away from the region. The stream is delivered as MP3 at 128 kbps, which keeps speech clear and uses a moderate amount of data. It plays in your browser on RadioKite without installation, and you can add it to your favourites.
