SomaFM Groove Salad Classic

This stream carries Groove Salad Classic, the classic early-2000s edition of SomaFM's Groove Salad, with chilled ambient and downtempo beats and grooves from the first years of internet radio. It is built around the sound that made the original channel famous: trip hop, downtempo, lounge, ambient and chillout electronica, with the production style and track selection of that era. For long-time listeners it is a bit of nostalgia, and for newcomers it is a glimpse into how chillout music sounded at the start of the millennium.

SomaFM is an independent, listener-supported internet radio station that has broadcast from San Francisco since 1999 and plays no commercials. This entry is an MP3 stream, listed by the broadcaster at a bitrate of 160 kbps, which works on practically every browser, phone and smart speaker and gives a slightly fuller sound than the standard 128 kbps streams. The artist and title are displayed whenever the track changes. RadioKite also lists another entry for this channel, and you can pick whichever suits your device and connection. It is ideal for quiet work and relaxation, and you can add it to your favourites.
