101.ru Chillout

101.ru Chillout is a channel of the Moscow-based Russian internet radio network 101.ru, playing chillout and lounge music. The programme is built around soft electronic grooves, downtempo, ambient textures and smooth vocal tracks chosen to create a relaxed and elegant atmosphere, with little talk between the songs.

101.ru offers dozens of genre-based streams, and this channel is its home for the chill-out style that emerged in the early 1990s and mixes down-tempo, jazz, lounge and sometimes trance influences. The music is mostly instrumental or international in origin, so listeners in any country can enjoy it, while any station identifications are in Russian. It works well as a background for the office, studying, reading and winding down in the evening.

The stream is delivered as MP3 at 128 kbps, which gives a clean and balanced sound on most devices and keeps data use moderate. It plays directly in your browser on RadioKite without installation, and you can add it to your favourites so that you can return to this quiet corner of the dial whenever you need to take a break.
