NTS 100% Hip Hop

NTS 100% Hip Hop is one of the Infinite Mixtapes from NTS Radio, the independent online station based in London. It is a continuous, themed stream drawn from the NTS archive and is devoted to hip hop in its more relaxed forms.

According to the NTS page, the mixtape keeps things simple with lo-fi hip-hop and smooth R'n'B, and its range extends to downtempo beats, Golden Age hip-hop and slow jams. The mixtape draws on shows from NTS contributors, so the selection reflects the curated, eclectic approach NTS is known for rather than a chart-driven playlist. NTS is a non-commercial station and presents its mixtapes in English.

Unlike the live shows, an Infinite Mixtape runs around the clock without fixed episodes or a schedule, so listeners can tune in at any time and hear music rather than talk. The stream is delivered as MP3 at 256 kbps over HTTPS, a higher bitrate than many web radios, which suits close listening on headphones or a home system.
