SomaFM Fluid

This stream carries SomaFM's Fluid channel, which invites you to drown in the electronic sound of instrumental hip hop, future soul and liquid trap. The music is smooth, beat-driven and mostly without vocals, with dusty drum loops, jazzy chords, warm bass and glossy electronic production that sit somewhere between beat-tape culture and late-night lounge. It is a perfect backdrop for focus, since the grooves are steady and the melodies unobtrusive.

SomaFM is an independent, listener-supported internet radio station that has broadcast from San Francisco since 1999 and plays no commercials. Its channels are programmed by hand by people who love the music, and Fluid offers a fresh view of modern beat music, including many independent producers who rarely get radio play. This entry is the MP3 version at 128 kbps, which works on practically every browser, phone and smart speaker, and the artist and title are displayed whenever the track changes. RadioKite also lists another format of the same channel and a separate Fluid entry, which play the same programme, so you can choose whichever suits your device and connection and add it to your favourites.
