SomaFM Space Station Soma

This stream carries Space Station Soma, the SomaFM channel that tells you to tune in, turn on and space out. It plays spaced-out ambient and mid-tempo electronica, with warm synthesizers, floating textures and gentle rhythms that carry the listener along at a relaxed cruising speed. It is among the oldest channels of SomaFM, and it remains a favourite for quiet work, daydreaming, travelling and long coding sessions.

SomaFM is an independent, listener-supported internet radio station that has broadcast from San Francisco since 1999 and runs no commercials. Every channel is programmed by hand by people who care about the music. This entry is the AAC version at 128 kbps, a more modern codec than MP3 that delivers clearer sound at the same bitrate, and it works in most current browsers and on phones. The player shows the artist and title as each track changes. RadioKite also lists the MP3 version of the same channel, in case your device prefers it, and you can add whichever you like to your favourites.
