ON Radio Smooth Jazz

ON Radio's Smooth Jazz channel plays smooth jazz and easy listening. It is one of a family of genre streams from the German web radio network, which allows listeners to choose a style and stay within it. The playlist combines mellow saxophone and guitar instrumentals, soft grooves, lounge-style arrangements, chillout touches and gentle vocal numbers, producing a relaxed sound that suits the office, the evening meal and quiet moments at home. The tempo is easy, and the mood is warm and unobtrusive.

ON Radio is an internet-only operator, so its channels can be heard anywhere and run around the clock with very little talk. The occasional announcements are in German, but the music is international. A dedicated smooth jazz stream is practical for people who like the style and do not want to build their own playlists, and it is also a good way for newcomers to hear what the genre sounds like. The stream is delivered as AAC+ at 64 kbps, an efficient codec that provides acceptable and pleasant sound at a low bitrate, which suits mobile connections and keeps data use small. It plays in your browser on RadioKite, and you can add it to your favourites.
