ON Radio Chillout

ON Radio's Chillout channel plays ambient, chillout and lounge. It is one of a family of genre streams from the German web radio network, so listeners can choose a mood and stay inside it. The playlist offers soft electronic textures, downtempo beats, mellow lounge grooves, easy-listening instrumentals and ambient passages, assembled to provide a calm and unobtrusive background for relaxing, studying, working and sleeping. The tempo stays low, the sound is warm, and the programme avoids sudden changes of mood.

ON Radio is an internet-only operator, so its channels can be heard anywhere and run around the clock with very little talk. The occasional announcements are in German, but the music is mostly instrumental and international. A dedicated chillout stream is a practical choice for people who want a peaceful atmosphere without choosing individual tracks, and it is a gentle introduction to the genre for newcomers. The stream is delivered as AAC+ at 64 kbps, an efficient codec that provides acceptable and pleasant sound at a low bitrate, which suits mobile connections and keeps data use small. It plays in your browser on RadioKite without installation, and you can add it to your favourites.
