89 FM A Rádio Rock

89 FM A Rádio Rock is a rock station broadcasting on 89.1 MHz to the São Paulo metropolitan area in Brazil. It plays classic rock and alternative favourites, with hosts who speak Portuguese in an informal style and talk about concerts, albums and the music scene. The sound is energetic and loyal to guitars.

The station went on air on 2 December 1985, taking over the frequency previously used by Pool FM, and its first slogan was "89, A Rádio do Rock". It moved to a pop format in 2006 and returned to rock around 2012. It is owned by Grupo Camargo de Comunicação, according to Wikipedia, and its programmes are produced on Avenida Paulista. As a commercial service it carries advertising between programmes.

The stream is delivered as AAC+ at about 128 kbps, a modern codec that provides a clear sound at a moderate bitrate and works in current browsers and on phones. It plays in your browser on RadioKite without installation, and you can add it to your favourites.
