Band FM 96.1

Band FM 96.1 is a commercial pop radio station in São Paulo, Brazil, broadcasting on 96.1 FM and online. It plays current hits and favourites, with a strong emphasis on popular Brazilian styles such as sertanejo, pagode and pop alongside chart music, and its stream is tagged as Top 40.

The station belongs to Grupo Bandeirantes, which acquired the 96.1 frequency in São Paulo in 1975. It started as Bandeirantes FM with a mix of rock, soul and jazz, moved towards black music in the 1980s, and became Band FM in the 1990s with a more popular, mainstream format. Band says the station has marked 50 years of history and leads its audience segment in Greater São Paulo. The station also organises live shows and promotions for its listeners.
