Rádio Transamérica 100.1

Rádio Transamérica 100.1 is a Brazilian radio station with a programme aimed at adults, mixing hits and football coverage. The playlist combines popular national and international songs with news, sport and entertainment, presented in Portuguese by lively hosts. The mood is energetic and friendly.

Brazil has one of the largest radio audiences in the world, with AM and FM stations in every city and a strong tradition of news, sport and music on the air, and Brazilian Portuguese is spoken with a warm and rhythmic character that learners find rewarding. The internet lets Brazilians living abroad keep in touch with the sound of home. As a commercial service, it carries advertising and promotional messages between programmes. The stream is delivered as AAC+ at 32 kbps, a very low bitrate that keeps data use minimal and is adequate for speech, although the sound is thin and not suited to music. It plays in your browser on RadioKite without installation, and you can add it to your favourites.
