BandNews FM São Paulo

BandNews FM São Paulo is the São Paulo edition of BandNews FM, a Brazilian all-news radio network of the Band group. The schedule is built around news bulletins every few minutes, traffic reports, weather, business, sport and commentary, presented in Portuguese in a brisk style. It is aimed at listeners in a city with an enormous commuting population who want information on the go.

Brazil has one of the largest radio audiences in the world, with AM and FM stations in every city and a strong tradition of news, sport and music on the air, and Brazilian Portuguese is spoken with a warm and rhythmic character that learners find rewarding. The internet lets Brazilians living abroad keep in touch with the sound of home. As a commercial service, it carries advertising and promotional messages between programmes. The stream is delivered as AAC+ at 64 kbps, a low bitrate that keeps data use small and is adequate for casual listening, though the sound is less detailed than on higher-bitrate streams. It plays in your browser on RadioKite without installation, and you can add it to your favourites.
