DamarTürk FM

Damar Türk FM is a Turkish internet radio station that bills itself as the new-generation arabesk radio, playing Turkish arabesk and slow, emotional pop music. Arabesk is one of the most popular and emotionally charged genres in Turkey, mixing Turkish and Middle Eastern melodies with heartfelt lyrics about love, longing, loss and hardship, usually sung by singers with powerful, expressive voices. Damar, the word in the station name, refers to a sad, heavy mood in this tradition, which gives a good idea of the atmosphere.

The station is aimed at fans of the genre both in Turkey and among Turkish communities abroad, particularly in Germany and other European countries where arabesk has always enjoyed a large audience. Playlists mix classic names from past decades with newer artists, and the presentation keeps interruptions modest so the songs remain the focus. The stream is delivered as MP3 at 128 kbps, which gives a clear vocal sound and works on most mobile connections. It plays in your browser on RadioKite without installing anything, and you can add the station to your favourites for easy access later.
