Super FM 2

Super FM 2 is a Turkish music station. The listing does not publish a detailed profile, but the name indicates a second channel of the Super FM brand, which is known in Turkey for popular music, and the programme is likely to consist of Turkish and international pop, with presenters who speak Turkish and give short announcements, greetings and news in between the songs. The mood is upbeat and designed for general listening.

The stream is delivered through the StreamTheWorld platform, which is used by many commercial radio brands to distribute their programmes online. Turkey has a lively radio scene with many networks aimed at different tastes, and a second channel allows a brand to offer an alternative playlist without changing the main station. For Turks living abroad, particularly in Germany and other European countries, an online stream is a convenient way to hear the music of home, and for learners of Turkish it is an accessible source of everyday language. As a commercial service, it may carry advertising and promotional messages between songs. The stream is delivered as MP3 at 64 kbps, a low bitrate that keeps data use small and is adequate for casual listening. It plays in your browser on RadioKite, and you can add it to your favourites.
