Smooth Relax

Smooth Relax is an Australian digital radio station playing soft adult contemporary music with a calm, easy-listening feel. It is an extension of the smoothfm brand and is built for relaxed listening, with mellow pop and ballads rather than high-energy tracks.

The station is owned by Nova Entertainment, which also runs the smoothfm network. Smooth Relax launched in 2019 as a digital-only service alongside Smooth Chill and is available on DAB+ digital radio in Sydney and Melbourne, as well as online. This stream is the Sydney feed, and no FM frequency is listed for the station.

Programming is in English and is aimed at adult listeners who want soothing background music with little interruption, for example at work or at home in the evening. The stream is delivered over HTTPS in AAC+ format at a high bitrate of about 320 kbps, stereo, which gives unusually good audio quality for an internet radio feed.
