YourClassical Relax

YourClassical Relax is a classical music stream from YourClassical, the public media service of Minnesota Public Radio (MPR) and American Public Media (APM). It plays calm, easygoing classical music intended to keep the day moving without stress, and is pitched for working, doing chores or taking a moment of calm.

The Relax stream was one of the lifestyle streams curated by APM when they launched in 2015, originally suggested for yoga, meditation and stressful commutes. In 2021 the Classical MPR brand was renamed YourClassical MPR, and Relax sits among a dozen or so streams that also include Favorites and Peaceful Piano. The service is run by a nonprofit public broadcaster in the United States and the content is in English, although the music itself is largely instrumental.

The stream is delivered over HTTPS as a 128 kbps stereo MP3. Expect a continuous, mellow programme of classical pieces with little interruption, making it well suited to background listening, study or unwinding in the evening.
