Mix 89.9 Medellín

Mix Radio 89.9 FM is a Colombian station in Medellín playing Latin pop, merengue, bachata and reggaeton. The Mix network also broadcasts from Barranquilla and Bogotá, and the Medellín frequency serves one of the most dynamic music cities in Latin America, the home of many successful urban and pop artists. The playlist mixes current hits from Colombia, the Caribbean and Spain with tropical rhythms such as merengue and bachata, producing a cheerful and danceable sound.

Medellín is known for its modern urban culture and its role in the rise of Colombian reggaeton and Latin pop, so a station like this one is closely connected to the music that young people in the city enjoy. The online stream allows Colombians living abroad and fans of Latin music anywhere in the world to follow the sound of the city. Announcements and shows are in Spanish, with a fast and friendly style. As a commercial service, it carries advertising and promotional messages between programmes. The stream is delivered as AAC+ at 64 kbps, an efficient codec that provides acceptable sound at a low bitrate and keeps data use small. It plays in your browser on RadioKite without installation, and you can add it to your favourites.
