Candela Estéreo 101.9

Candela Estéreo is a Bogotá radio station that broadcasts on 101.9 FM under the call sign HJPU. It plays a popular mix of Latin music, with salsa, vallenato, merengue, romantic ballads and other tropical and Colombian favourites, along with some talk and entertainment segments. The audience is Spanish-speaking.

According to directory sources, the station grew out of a frequency formerly known as El Dorado Estéreo and has changed format over the years, moving from tropical music to salsa and later to a broader popular-music mix. Ownership details are published inconsistently, so none are asserted here.

Listeners can expect danceable, upbeat Latin programming with Spanish-language presenters, music requests and light chat, mainly aimed at an adult audience in the Colombian capital and beyond. The online feed is an MP3 stream at 96 kbps delivered over HTTPS through the StreamTheWorld platform.

The station's own website, candelaestereo.com, offers further information about its presenters and shows. The exact weekly schedule is not listed here because it is not confirmed in published sources.
