WSKQ Mega 97.9

WSKQ Mega 97.9 is a Spanish-language Latin music station for the New York area, broadcasting as WSKQ-FM on 97.9 FM. It is presented on the LaMusica platform of Spanish Broadcasting System (SBS), whose copyright appears in the site footer, and its web page describes the music as salsa, merengue and more.

Beyond the tropical staples, the station's playlists cover reggaeton, trap, dembow, bachata, cubaton and regional Mexican music, along with a Top 20 countdown. The website also offers podcasts, videos, news and a chat, aimed at the Spanish-speaking and Latino audience of the region.

Listeners can expect a varied, rhythmic mix of current hits and tropical favourites, with presenters speaking Spanish. The stream is delivered as AAC audio at about 150 kbps and runs continuously, matching the over-the-air signal. The website defaults to Spanish and offers an English version. The station's history, schedule and on-air lineup are not detailed on the page consulted, so they are left out here.
