Northern Metal Radio

Northern Metal Radio is a Swedish internet station playing heavy and extreme metal. The stream runs around the clock, so there is always something to hear whatever the hour. Because it is delivered over the internet, it is not tied to a single frequency or country, and it can be heard wherever you have a connection. A station like this works well as an all-day background, and it is easy to leave running at home, in the shop or at the office.

Sweden has a strong radio culture, with public Sveriges Radio and several commercial networks. As a commercial service it carries advertising. Northern Metal Radio is an internet station devoted to extreme and heavy metal. The stream is delivered as MP3 at 320 kbps, a very high bitrate that gives music a full, clean and detailed sound, particularly on good headphones or speakers, though it uses more data than typical streams. It plays in your browser on RadioKite without installation, and you can add it to your favourites.
