Fréquence 3 Urban

Fréquence 3 Urban is the hip hop channel of the French web radio Fréquence 3. Its stream metadata describes it as "Le meilleur son Hip Hop, Rap et R'n'B sans pub", that is, hip hop, rap and R&B without advertising. The playlist includes French-language rap alongside other urban music.

Fréquence 3 was founded in 2001 and presents itself as one of the first French digital radios, run by a team of volunteers. Its local FM broadcasts serve the Touraine and Loir-et-Cher areas, and its thematic web channels, such as Urban and World, can be heard online from anywhere. The website is in French. The station does not publish details about its ownership on its homepage.

Expect a continuous flow of rap, hip hop and R&B with no commercial breaks. The stream is delivered in lossless FLAC inside an Ogg container, which offers very high audio quality but uses much more bandwidth than common MP3 or AAC streams, so it suits fast connections best.
