Magic Radio

Magic Radio is an independent online radio station dedicated to the greatest hits of the 1980s, with occasional nods to the 1970s and 1990s. This stream is the lossless FLAC version of the station, delivered in an Ogg container for listeners who want the highest audio quality.

The station describes itself as a non-profit personal project supported by listener donations. Its website is bilingual in English and French and refers to French music rights bodies, which points to a French connection, although the owner and exact location are not published on the site. The directory entry lists the country as France.

Expect a continuous run of well-known pop and rock hits from the eighties, mostly sung in English, with the sort of nostalgic playlist that suits background listening or a throwback session. Because the FLAC stream uses a very high bitrate of around 1,500 kbps, it needs a fast and stable connection; lower-bitrate streams are the better choice on mobile data.
