ON Radio 60s

ON Radio's 60s channel plays soul, funk, oldies and rock 'n' roll from the 1960s. It is one of a family of decade and genre streams from the German web radio network, so listeners can pick an era and stay inside it. The playlist covers Motown and Stax soul, early funk, twist and surf tunes, beat bands, pop from the British Invasion and the classic rock 'n' roll sound, making a cheerful and varied mix with plenty of energy. It captures the optimism of a decade when popular music changed at remarkable speed.

ON Radio is an internet-only operator, so its channels can be heard anywhere and run around the clock with very little talk. The occasional announcements are in German, but the music is international and mostly in English. A dedicated sixties stream is practical for listeners who want to avoid hours of songs from other eras, and it is an easy way for younger listeners to explore the roots of modern pop. The stream is delivered as MP3 at 128 kbps, which gives a clear sound on most devices and keeps data use moderate. It plays in your browser on RadioKite without installation, and you can add it to your favourites.
