Nostalgie Extra

Nostalgie Extra is an additional music stream of Nostalgie in Flanders, the Dutch-language Belgian station that specialises in familiar hits of past decades. The stream is labelled Classic Hits and plays well-known pop and rock songs, mainly from the 1970s, 1980s and 1990s, delivered as MP3 at 192 kbps.

Nostalgie in Flanders was created in 2008 from a merger of several regional stations and is owned by Vlaanderen Eén. The station has used the slogan What a Feeling in the past, which explains the name this stream was originally listed under. The branding has changed over the years, and this particular Extra stream is not described in detail on the official site.

The broadcast language of the presenters is Dutch, while most of the songs are in English. Expect a feel-good, easy-going programme of recognisable songs for a broad adult audience, with few surprises and a strong focus on nostalgia. Current programme details are available on the Nostalgie Flanders website.
